Use of the charging system is governed by the Madison Walk Rules and Regulations (R&Rs), which is available to homeowners upon request. This overview is summarized for quick reference. For any omission or discrepancy herein, the R&Rs shall control.
Charge only in assigned resident parking spaces. No charging in guest spaces, except ADA spaces as permitted under law.
Position vehicle charge port and cabling within green zone indicated on charger's signage.
Charge EV or PHEV (plug-in hybrid) vehicles only. No makeshift equipment.
Use nearby charger. Cable must touch the floor without straining. Cable may not cross other spaces or cause a tripping hazards.
Charge one car at a time per unit.
Neatly hang cable after use. Take adapter with you.
Disconnect car within 60 minutes after charge completed, or by 9:00AM if completed overnight.
Use genuine adapter recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. No 3rd party adapters or extension cables.
No "Karen Lock" or similar mechanism may be used.
Do not interfere with others' vehicles or charging.
Do not use a charger marked "Out of Service". Guest parking may be temporarily used only while charging.
Disconnect switch is only for emergencies. Pull handle down for OFF.
Report issues to the HOA immediately. Discontinue use.
No exploitation or misuse of the charging system. Only HOA may service equipment.
No 120-Volt vehicle charging.
